NCT’s Outer Zone tickets and passes will cover the new section of route, with through ticketing arrangements in place with NCT’s Green Line 6 at Gamston to allow customers to travel to Central Avenue at no extra cost, and with Centrebus service 833 from the Vale of Belvoir for through journeys to Nottingham.
In Nottingham City Centre, the service will stop at Nottingham Station, Victoria Centre, just off the Old Market Square and at Broadmarsh.
David Conway, NCT Head of Operations said, “Nottinghamshire County Council have provided funding for our Green 11 services for some time through the Bus Service Improvement Plan, enabling the route to serve Gamston and the Water Sports Centre. By enhancing our partnership, NCT is supporting the County Council’s ambition to provide improved access to the City’s bus network for the residents of Rushcliffe”.
Derek Higton, Executive Director at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “We are proud to work alongside Nottingham City Transport to deliver an enhanced and more accessible bus service for our communities. This partnership demonstrates our shared commitment to sustainable transport solutions, making it easier for residents to travel for work, education and leisure while supporting the local economy. By investing in reliable public transport, we are building a more connected and vibrant Nottinghamshire for everyone.”
Within the Nottingham area, passengers who use Green 11 between City, The Meadows and Lady Bay will still be served at the same frequencies as they are now, with buses every 20 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes.
